About Pierce County News
The PCTV studio and operations are located on the Bates Technical College Central Campus at 2320 South 19th Street in Tacoma, Washington. The building once housed KSTW, Channel 11.
We are a completely digital and HD shop using Panasonic P2 cameras and Adobe Premiere for editing. In addition to our regular channel programming, PCTV also produces a wide variety of video projects for hire.
PCTV employs a professional television studio approximately 40'L x 35'W x 25'H with a full lighting grid, curtains and space for green screen. The studio has three resident cameras and can support up to six for larger productions. PCTV utilizes a mix of manned and robotic cameras.
PCTV videographers bring years of experience and a creative spirit to every "shoot." Utilizing Panasonic P2 HPX 370, 300 and 250, Sony FS700 and GoPro cameras, our news stories and video projects surpass the most stringent professional standards.
PCTV productions have received dozens of local and national technical and creative awards.
Perhaps you've seen our production truck working around Pierce County. The 16' Gurling Production truck carries three Panasonic robotic cameras and is expandable up to six with a mix of manned and robotic. Tricaster switching, graphics and stereo audio mix. Video and audio are patchable. The truck operates on 110-120v shore power or with the on-board generator.
